As a beautiful, and proud home-town pillar of her community, Vanessa is universally loved. Everyone is stoked that she was able to leave to go to medical school. She came back to the favelas to try and give back to the favela. A strong sense of right and wrong means that she is always weary of Nando and the shadier side of the Sob Liga. She is a keeper- fun, funny, adventurous andbeautiful. Although she disdains Neville at first, she is a big part of why his arc changes in such a positive way. They are truly in love at the end of the film.

Rebecca Da Costa is a Brazilian actress who most recently starred as the female lead opposite Sean Faris in Freerunner, an all-actionParkour film. Later this year, she'll be seen in Seven Below, co-starring Val Kilmer and Ving Rhames, and Mine Games, opposite Briana Evigan and Twilight's Alex Meraz. Rebecca recently wrapped filming When The Bough Breaks, with Milo Ventimiglia, Gabriel Macht and Andie MacDowell.

Fernanda Machado is a Brazilian film, television, and stage actress. Fernanda was born in the south of Brazil where she began her career in theatre at the age of 14. She left her hometown at 17 to attend a performing arts college and was soon invited to audition for her first soap opera on TV Globo. She succeeded and was quickly noticed by the most important film and television directors in Brazil. In 2007 she played the leading female in "Elite Squad," which became one of the most famous and popular movies in Brazil, directed by Jose Padilha and produced by Harvey Weinstein. "Elite Squad" won best picture at the Berlin Film Festival in 2008. Since then she has continued in theatre with plays like "The Lie of the Mind" (a Sam Shepard Play), and thrived on television in popular soap operas like "Paraiso Tropical," in which she won best supporting actress in Brazil. Fernanda completed her first Americanmovie,"The Brazilian," in August 2012.
